Morrie with Tuesday | Mitch Albom

My dear friend! Please ignore my bad writing skills. I am a mediocre writer. I just enrolled in one class starts at the end of this month. I hope that my English skills are improved.

I knew about “Morrie with Tuesday” in several months ago when I was scrolling through Story Instagram of a writer I’m following, she shared this book. I bought it later inside a bookshelf in a book store at the corner of Dinh Le Street.

“Tuesday with Morrie” portrayed An Old and Wise Man who is going to the death shared his stories, lessons to his students (the author) as his son.

An Old Man, A Young Man and Life’s Greatest Lesson

Although this book has a small size and was written by easy words, it took approximate 3-4 months to finish. (I am a lazy girl). The fourteen of Tuesday with Morrie is fourteen life’s greatest lesson for anyone who is going on the journey to find the fulfilment and joy in life.

Actually, we have got many lessons (books, experiences, meaningful stories, successful stories, etc) in our lives, but we often forget them after that (these are temporary enjoyment or temporary happiness). I think that the knowledge about ourselves we never forget. Understanding and loving ourselves which allows us to live, lean on to find the fulfilment in life and being at the moment to enjoy whatever it is.

Life is a colourful picture with bright colours and darker colours. Sometimes I often look back and regret what I did. Morrie remind me that forgiveness is an essential way we accept that life is not a straightway.

When you find the meaning of life, the beauty of labour, luckily if you understand it soon, your lifestyle is created simple (especially, you have less purchasing needs) . Loving themselves, we can love anything in the world from a small insect, big trees to rivers, and love humanity.

Below is one of my favourite paragraph in this book. In fact, at the endpapers, I teared up.

“As long as we can love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on – in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here.

..

Death ends a life, not a relationship”

The book contains full of love. I love it.
